Back in August, Golden Mirror Beauty Salon and Pakistani Beauty Bloggers Community hosted a giveaway together exclusively for the PBBC members. Unbelievably, I won. Yaayy!!

Not only did I win all Body Shop services that the salon has to offer but my cousin also won a manicure and a pedicure service along with me. As it happened, my cousin was not available so I talked to the Golden Mirror team about it and they were nice enough to allow me to bring my sister for the services.
Right from when we stepped in we were treated like a couple of  queens. They pampered us, showered us with gifts and even had lunch with us. From the full body services to the facial and manicure, pedicures everything was perfect. I was not expecting to be treated this way on winning a giveaway at all. You know how usually when you get discounts or win giveaways the company tries to give as little as possible. The Golden Mirror Beauty Salon did everything they could to please us even further till we were delighted to have won and come.
The owners are both as sweet as sugar. I wish I could have met their mom as well. I wish Khatija and Ayesha the very best in life. I hope this amazing venture that they have recently started hits the sky and they prosper along with their amazing team.
They presented me with a surprise as I was leaving. A poster of the giveaway winner announcement with my name on it, A Golden Mirror Beauty Salon sticker, Essie nail color in watermelon in a cute little jar, 2 year membership where I get 10% off on specific services AND a gift card worth Rs.3500. Not returning to such an awesome place is definitely out of the question.

Thank you, PBBC and Golden Mirror Beauty Salon!

The Balm- May Loumnizer (Review)

8 Sep

With the frequent The Balm sales that go up to 70% off, it’s no wonder that I went crazy over this already very hyped highlighter! Since I’m a big fan of matte skin, I sometimes tend to go overboard with powdering my skin, and looking flat instead of fab! This is where the May Loumnizer steps in, and gives me that glow from within.

With its buttery soft texture, it is a dream to blend. I won’t lie and say I have the fanciest brushes for makeup application, but if my super old and battered brushes work effectively in blending this out for the ‘glow from within’ then no one should have a problem! The only downside of this super buttery almost creamy texture is that one tumble, and this will fall! Unfortunately that happened to me as well, but it didn’t stop me from using it on an everyday basis haha.
The packaging is compact, houses a huge mirror that makes it perfect for on the go touchups and with its quirky illustrations, is a joy to take out of your handbag when you’re with your friends. The Balm as a brand has impressed me incredibly, with its texture, packaging, and quality for the price! While I haven’t tried many high end highlighters, with this in my collection, I’m not even tempted to, and that coming from a makeup hoarder is a big compliment!
I would advise everyone to wait for The Balm sales to get a hold of this that can up every couple of months on their website and Hautelook as well!

Clarisonic Mia – Worth the Hype or not?

21 Jul

Hello Readers,

Today I am bringing you a review on a product that is much raved about and that was on my wishlist for ages. Being a victim of an oily skin and having frequent breakouts I really needed a product that could help exfoliate and clean my skin from all the gunk that deposits/sits on my skin during the day whether its makeup or sweat or any dirt that can cling on to your skin while you are out and about.

After lusting over this product for months I finally decided to pick it up from Nordstorm during an awesome Christmas sale. The best part was I had a chance to buy it myself since I was in the States at that time and I was able to choose and pick which one will be best for me. I got myself a nice baby pink one.

Clarisonic Review

Now, let see what this is:

What it is?

Clarisonic is a rechargeable electric device that has a brush head (removable/changeable) on the front. This is operated with a button (on & off) since this is Mia and not Mia 2 it comes with just one simple push of on and off function. Trust me you do not need Mia 2 or the latest versions since they all perform the same.

Clarisonic Review by Mariam Shahjahan

How you use it?

Wet your face with some water and add a few drops of your favorite face wash on the brush head ( I use to love using Philosophy purity face wash but my recent fav is First Aid beauty face wash. Can’t stop bragging how amazing that face wash is) switch on the device and gently massage over your face. The device will stop after a minute and that is more than enough for me. Since I use it every day I don’t use it more than one minute.

How to store it?

Just clean the brush head and take a Q-tip and clean the inner area (from where you have removed your brush head from) I like to spray my brush head with a mixture of (Dettol and rose water) I am not sure why I do this but this makes me think that my brush head is bacteria free and clean. Anyways, then just let it air dry and put on the brush head onto your device and cover it with a cap it comes. The protective cap is to keep your brush head in shape and obviously secure and by secure I do not mean that it won’t get dirt over it since there are holes on the cap. So every time I use my Clarisonic I wash the brush head spray it with the Dettol and rose water mixture and then use it after like 5 or 10 minutes and then again wash it , spray it and store it.

Clarisonic Review By MS

What it does?

Well, Clarisonic is a device that gently exfoliates your skin removing all the gunk and dirt that’s on your skin. It will even remove the makeup that is left over after you have removed your makeup. Yes! You still have tons of makeup on your face even after you have removed it. I like to use Bio Derma Sensibo H2O to remove my makeup but when I use Clarisonic I can see my brush head going all brown/yellow **Eeewww** and that is all the foundation coming out of my pores leaving my skin squeaky clean and germ free. Now that you have cleaned your skin and all the dirt, oil and makeup is gone then you can go ahead and use your moisturizer or serum and your eye cream or whatever is there in your skin care and your skin will quickly absorb all that which means your products will show results faster than usual and they will penetrate in your skin quickly hence showing results faster instead of sitting on top and making you greasy. You will break out less, you will not have enlarged pores, your makeup will stay put for longer and you will not have to waste tons of money on skincare as the products you are currently using will start to show up results much faster and you will not be disappointed in waiting for it for ages.

Clarisonic and Philosophy

Did it worked for me? Oh yes ! it did. My skin feels smoother, much younger, radiant, pore free and above oil it does not produce tons of oil like it use to. I do not break out and my over skincare is just making me more and more satisfied.

What skin type does it suits well? It is the best ever product for all skin types. There are different kinds of brush heads for acne prone skin and sensitive skin. Oily skin people will love it if they use it on a daily basis or even every alternate day. Dry skin people will love it too if they use it twice a week and followed by a thick moisturizer.

Clarisonic and First Aid Beauty

How long will this product last? Since it’s a device and not a product that would expire, this will last you ages maybe your entire life if used, stored and treated with care. However please please do change your brush head after every 3 months. Look out for all sorts of deals. Subscribe to Sephora newsletter and you will be updated with all the kinds of deals and sales going on. Get a 2 pack brush head then and keep it aside and definitely do change your brush head every 3 month , this is very important.

I love this product to pieces and highly recommend it to anyone who would want to take care of their skin and would like to see a difference. It is a product for those who love themselves and like to take care of their skin and the way it feels and look.

Hope you find this post informative, for any questions and queries related to Clarisonic feel free to get in touch.

24 Feb

Pakistani Beauty Blogger Swap – FAQ

What is a Pakistani beauty/Makeup swap?

After the sign up, We will randomly assign a blogger to whom you will anonymously send the gifts. Once all bloggers receive their gifts, we will reveal their identity.

I am not a blogger , can i be a part of it?

Most certainly you can this time

What is the Budget?

This is the third swap we are arranging so the budget will be rs 1500-200

Does shipping include in the budget?

I am sorry but shipping doesn’t include in the budget

Can we tell what products we would love to have?

We will ask you to mention three wish list item , which is easily accessible, if other swapper can manage to get that , its great but to be honest its totally up to them. But we will make sure you get something nice you will enjoy and we will keep you updated .

Will i get a blogger for the same city as i am?

We will be pairing bloggers randomly. So we can’t promise that

I am short on money, can i back off?

We are giving a month to prepare, Of course we can’t force anything  , but last minute backing off will create such a hassle and in future we may only include selected members

I am not in Pakistan but i want to participate . possible?

Yes , we do take international bloggers and try pairing up with someone from same country or someone they can easily send gift without breaking the bank.

Pakistan Beauty Blogger Swap 2014 – Rules & Sign Up Dates

After a great response, and lot’s of request by non-bloggers we are planning to do it for non-bloggers/members of PBBC group too. We will post 2 different forms on 1st March. One for bloggers and the other one for non-bloggers. The sign ups will be from be March 1-March 10th ,2014.

On 15th March we will pair up all the girls with each other. It’s a “Secret Swap”, so you will know whom you are sending the gifts but you will not know who sent you one. When you send out the gifts, please don’t mention your names on the parcels (for those who are new to the swap).

The activity of sending out the gifts will start from 1st April to 30th April, which gives you ample of time from 15th March to order/buy gifts for your partner. This time we are doing it for a month because most of the girls order the products from online pages.

Remember, it is a “Secret Swap” in which we give out gifts. The sender should keep the “wishlist” of the partner in mind, whereas the receiver should also keep it in mind that it is a gift. We will also give a budget. Before we put up the forms, we would like to know the budget you would like to keep. We will do a poll here! Last time we had it for 2000, we can stick to it, we can make it less or rise it too, depends on the results of the poll.
Leave your suggestions (IF ANY) in the comments below, we would love to know what you girls have in mind

  • Gifts must be sent out between 1st April to 30th April 2014. This gives members approximately 30 days window to shop or place an order.
  • A tracking # is mandatory when mailing out your items.
  • The total gift value should be equivalent to the budget assigned for this swap
  • Item(s) must be NEW and never used, swatched or opened. Please avoid sending fillers .
  • Lastly, once you sign up please do not back out as it will cause problems with the assignment list.

We will update this post as soon as we get more questions/queries , please feel free to ask if there is anything thats confusing you. We want to make this event a fun and social one , so in future we can hold more activities like this

Order from [Website Review + Experience]

Online delivery pages have made life easier, be it fashion, makeup or food; getting them delivered easily at your doorsteps is the easiest thing. Being  a foodie, Foodpanda is the easiest online page for ordering food and getting it delivered at your door steps.

What is Foodpanda
We are a small team of problem solvers, designers, thinkers and tinkers, working around the clock to make Foodpanda the most powerful online tool for ordering food in the universe. We believe that ordering food should be easy, fast and definitely fun! We wanted something simpler, so we made it.

Foodpanda Online Experience
Staying in the office for lunch? Tired of the same takeaways? No more wondering what is available near you. Foodpanda has online menus from the staggering selection of delivery restaurants around you. Simply enter your area and search for cuisine type, restaurants or even price range. The restaurant index also includes address and delivery hours. No online food delivery is too difficult for Foodpanda! Ordering food filtered to your needs has never been made easier!

Do you have any questions or feedback? We love to hear from you! Email us with your queries and we’ll have it sorted in no time!

Foodpanda on Twitter

Experience with Foodpanda
Foodpanda currently serves in 4 cities; Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore and Rawalpindi. Foodpanda has put its focus on further expanding across new major cities and countries in the last months. In the beginning of 2012 the first foodpanda smartphone app was launched and since then, ordering food online via foodpanda has never been easier.

I am a Karachi-ite, a food lover and love to try different places. I prefer to dine-in, because it is fun, but not easy most of the times. The time when I cannot dine-in and when I crave for certain food, I look for easy delivery and a new place to eat from. I look for food chains that delivers easily to the area I live in. Mostly the food chains are in Defence and Clifton areas, that don’t deliver to most of the areas in Karachi, even though I live in the center of the city. Foodpanda made that easier, by delivering food to quite a lot of areas.

Prior to ordering food for the first time, you need to make a log-in id, like any other website works. After you are done, you need to select your city and the area you live in. Right after you do that, you get the list of restaurants which can be delivered in your area. Every restaurant has estimated time, delivery fee and minimum order range. Some don’t have delivery fee. Once you select the food and place an order, you receive a  confirmation call from Foodpanda and then you receive a call from the rider to confirm the address and whereabouts. The estimated time mentioned on Foodpanda for the food I ordered was 45 minutes. I was amazed to hear the door bell exactly after 45 minutes, with a box of oven hot Pizza and chicken wings.

To be precise, I ordered Tex Mex pizza and Chicken wings from Domino’s.

They say, “First impression is the last impression” and the first order/impression made me a happy Foodpanda customer. I’m definitely going to order from a few more restaurants via Foodpanda and will recommend all the foodies too!

Do order and share your experience with us! x

PBBC Weekly Blogger Shout Out- “The Happy Therapy” by Laila Mehkri

6 Dec

Laila is the editor of The Happy Therapy ,She calls her a newbie but we see an awesome blogger in making . You would agree with us once you get to know Laila  ;). She is a a medical student, and hardcore makeup and fashion addict.

Hello Gorgeous ! Please tell us about you ?
Hi, my name is Laila Mehkri, I’m a medical student, a makeup artist and a newbie in the beauty blogging world. I just completed my
third year of medicine and enjoying my holidays these days. I’m from Gothenburg, Sweden, but I have been living in Karachi,
Pakistan for 9 years now. I’m a hardcore makeup and fashion addict! I see something and I want it the next cravings
are so tempting and hard to resist. I’m very fashionable, but I feel comfort has so much to do with the clothing we feel great in, the
pieces and things which say, “This is me”, same goes for makeup :) Using makeup shows love for yourself. My blog is all about
makeup, beauty and fashion, my honest reviews on makeup products, products i’m loving, makeup hauls, fashion diaries will
include, new handbags, my designer clothes and everything that makes a woman feel beautiful :) Always remember, LOOK YOUR

  • How did you start out in the world of beauty blogging?

I always wanted to start my own beauty blog, my love for makeup and fashion is so pure that I had to, HAD TO start with something
to show them babies that I really care and love. So, I just sat one day and decided and I had to do a fall lipsticks post and there it
was, my blog was ready and I was the happiest person on earth.

  • How would you describe your signature look?

My signature look is very simple, all I want is a flawless face, under eye concealer is a must! I love neutral smokey eyes, that has
always been my signature look, an easy shimmery eye shadow on the lids, a little transition color on the crease and a darker shade
on the outer V and loads and loads of mascara ( yes, I’m a spider eyelashes freak, I love them ). For lipsticks, I prefer pinks, peaches,
corals and orange colors, there is no particular shade for the look, I could wear a dark vampy lip with a dark smokey eye and I
would still feel great about it.

  • What five fantastic products do you use now and why do you love them?

1. Kryolan tv paint stick in Ivory for my under eye dark circles : I cannot live with out this product! I have tried tons of concealers
but nothing beats this! its creamy consistency and the coverage is just magic, hides away everything and makes my under eye look
2. The Body Shop All in One Face Base in shade 03: This is my go to foundation, I wear this almost everyday. It gives my skin such
an amazing glow, without looking cakey. I use this after I’m done with my under eye concealer to even out my skin tone. Best
powder foundation I have come across.
3. Mac lipstick in Impassioned: I have never been comfortable in wearing red on my lips, that is when Mac Impassioned comes
in…it is not a red, not a pink and not a coral, it is the most beautiful mixture of these three colors. It is a neon pink-red with a coral
warmth in it.
4. Loreal extra collagen mascara: I love to try out new amazing mascaras. For me, mascara is the best part of my makeup
routine…when you see your lashes from going ‘nuhh’ to ‘wow’, that’s when you realize its importance. This mascara is no different
from other Loreal mascaras I love and have always loved. This is my eyelashes’s new found love!
5. Milani baked blush in Luminoso: Every girl needs this sucker in her blush collection! When I say every, I mean it! This is the only
blush in my collection to which I keep coming back to on everyday basis. You know you have that, ‘what should I wear on my
cheeks today?’ idea…for me it just doesn’t work these days. I ALWAYS pick this one up to apply first!

  • We beauty bloggers always have a wishlist , Whats your top 3 wishlist items?

YSL Touche Eclat Highlighting Pen in shade 2 Luminous Ivory
Armani Fluid Sheer Highlighter in 0 and 1
Viva La Juicy Couture Perfume
( These are on my wishlist for early next year ) Yippy!

  • What is in the future for “The Happy Therapy”?

More and more happy and satisfying therapies are in the future. I want to work on face of the day, outfit of the day posts in future.
Also on some nail of the day posts, for which I will have to start growing back my nails and stop biting them, I guess. I wish to do
more and more makeup haul posts because they make me happy and merry :)

You can read Laila’s review on The Body Shop All in One Face Base , which loves so much that she uses it almost everyday .

We are starting this with getting to know the ADMINS of PBBC first.

Sarah Ali, owner of the blog Glossicious Beauty Blog ( and the mind behind starting PBBC!
Sarah is from a small town in Punjab, Pakistan but was born and raised in the beautiful city Lahore. She graduated in journalism. Sarah is a self confessed makeup addict/hoarder who loves travelling and photography. She loves bright pouts, peachy cheeks and heavy kohl-d eyes. She wouldn’t be seen without blushing blush cheeks and heavy kohl-d eyes.

Sarah Ali

1. When did you start blogging?
A – End of 2009 , which now seems like a long time ago now :)

2. What lead you to start a blog?
A – I am a self confessed shopaholic and makeup addict. These two factors made start reading blog and here I am now with a blog of my own. I’ve always wanted to start a blog. I had one since 2006 with random posts and tit bits from my trips . But I always had a thing for beauty & makeup. I used to put my mom’s Clinique’s lipsticks on , and adore her Chanel skin care. My father brings a lot of high end makeup for us. On one of his trip to Singapore, he asked me what I want; I was googling some new products available and was looking for some swatches, one thing leads to another and after a couple of moments ago , I was publishing my first post :)
P.S He bought me my first ever Chanel blush from his trip .

3. What is your blog about? Briefly describe.
A – My blog is all about my passion for makeup , shopping and traveling . On the Glossicious beauty blog , you’ll see me covering beauty, haul , travel stories :)

4. How does your blog reflect you?
A – I am not a professional makeup artist and have never gone through proper training. All my techniques and skills are self-taught and acquired through experience/blogs/you tube/magazines . So If I like something, I blog positively about it but I’m not one to use flowery prose … That’s not my style.

5. Who was your inspiration before starting the blog?
A – I admire Karen from makeupandbeauty and lipglossiping .

6. What do you enjoy most about blogging and being a blogger?
A -Blogging gave me some dear friends, to which I am very thankful. They know who they are :) I gotta admit beauty blogging introduced me to new brands and products. I love being able to work with different companies, and it means I try things that aren’t in my normal psyche .

7. What kind of blog posts do you prefer reading the most? Tags, Hauls, Makeup Tutorials, etc.
A – I LOVE haul posts :)

8. Apart from blogging, what other things keep you busy in life?
A – Let’s see when I am not blogging , I’m shopping :) just kidding .One of my most favorite lazy day activities is sitting down with a good book. Traveling is in my blood . I am usually traveling once or twice in a month .

9. What does blogging means to you?
A – Blogging means everything to me, it’s like food for the soul. It is something which keeps me happy and mentally active since I spend most of the hours in a day thinking about what to post and new ideas.

10. What advice would you give to the new bloggers or to the one who wants to start blogging!
A – If you are new to beauty blogging , Just remember putting yourself out there will bring a lot of judgement and not everyone will give constructive criticism So Instead of getting discouraged , keep going . It’s all about passion and creativity .

Rabeeyah Tungekar, owner of the blog Rabeeyah’s Blog  (
Rabeeyah is a beauty blogger and a certified Makeup Artist. She graduated in Fine Arts and English Literature. Having a love for art and makeup, she thought of adopting both. From Canvas she went to the face and took a makeup artistry course in November 2011 from ANAM and worked with her for 6 months doing party, bridal, model and other makeup at ANAM. She is now working from her own place and is teaching makeup too, which she loves and enjoys.
Rabeeyah had a love for makeup since the age of 13. Did a few bridal makeup before she was a certified makeup artist. She mostly learnt makeup and knowledge about makeup from from tv shows, YouTube and books. Having knowledge about makeup from different sources, she thought of sharing the knowledge she had through the blog.

1. When did you start blogging?
A – I started blogging and published my first post by the end of November 2010

2. What lead you to start a blog?
A – Being a girl who LOVED makeup since early teens, I started to read a lot about makeup and beauty. Earlier by watching makeup shows on television which later moved to YouTube, plus reading gave me a lot of knowledge about makeup and beauty (still it’s never enough). That’s when I decided to write about the knowledge I have and share it with everyone and that’s how Rabeeyah’s Blog came into being.

3. What is your blog about? Briefly describe.
A – My blog is all about Makeup, Beauty and Fashion (as the description on my blog says). It mainly focuses on beauty and makeup; reviews, hauls, tutorials, tips and techniques and everything related mostly to makeup and beauty.

4. How does your blog reflect you?
A – I’m a person who loves sharing what I know, rather than keeping it to myself and not a person who would point out other people just to get attention. My blog is simple like me and it’s a place to share the knowledge, instead of picking on what others are doing or proving myself to be the best.

5. Who was your inspiration before starting the blog?
A – Honestly, the only blog I used to read was Sara Hassan’s Blog. I knew about a few more too but they always gave me the impression of the blog as a giveaway page. I used to enjoy Sara’s posts and reviews and on her recommendation bought A LOT of products too, even now. So, I would say Sara and her blog was my inspiration and then the list started to go on once I came into the blogging world.

6. What do you enjoy most about blogging and being a blogger?
A – Blogging is a place where you can express whatever you have on your mind, and that’s the place for me where I can express and share everything I know in words. Being a blogger, I enjoy trying out different products to learn more, getting to know different brands and the difference between them and I wouldn’t lie FREE products sometimes too from different brands. When we work so hard and spend so much, we do deserve a small treat – don’t we? :D
Not only products but the most I enjoy is socializing. Attending Meetups and events, and meeting different people behind the screens and brands broaden your thinking and mind and you learn different things from them. Plus, you make new and amazing friends too. :D

7. What kind of blog posts do you prefer reading the most? Tags, Hauls, Makeup Tutorials, etc.
A – Mostly I love reading DIY posts, reviews and tutorials, then comes hauls.

8. Apart from blogging, what other things keep you busy in life?
A – Apart from blogging, I am a makeup artist – not the busy one though. Sometimes Makeup classes and appointments keep me busy, apart from that I am at home and TV series keep me busy.

9. What does blogging means to you?
A – Blogging is a platform which gave me confidence, has broadened my thinking and definitely increased my knowledge and is doing it every day.

10. What advice would you give to the new bloggers or to the one who wants to start blogging?
A – I am not a super amazing blogger, but what I’ve learned from past 3 years and I am learning now is be yourself. Be yourself, write and share what you know and be genuine. Genuine people are truly loved by the people who read and follow them. Also, don’t let criticism or negative people come in your way of passion and love for something. Remember, haters are everywhere, but count the ones who love you and move on with a positivity. Don’t start blogging if you don’t have passion for it, and don’t start it with getting FREE products the main cause.

PBBC Weekly Blogger Shout Out- Nayab Loves by Nayab

27 May

nayabloves is a beauty cum lifestyle cum fashion blog is where , Nayab, like to put up posts about things I like, love, hate, wore, bought and did! This little space on the internet is my baby that I work hard on and hope you guys like what you see :)

  • An introduction of you & your blog

Nayab Loves is basically a beauty blog with quite a few lifestyle posts and a bit of fashion aswell. Since the name is Nayab ‘loves’ i write about what ever tickles my fancy be it makeup, clothes, shopping, food etc. As for me, im almost 21 and from the breathtaking city of islamabad, currently in the process of completeing my bachelors in development studies.. Not an easy task haha. I have wavy hair that hate humidity and a big an of Harry Potter and Twilight! ( yes, both at thr same time) haha.

  • How did you start out in the world of beauty?

I was following blogs for quite a while and one day after my birthday i decided to put all the time i spend on the internet to good use and started my little blog. Its been wonderful ever since. Who would mind talking about makeup? Not me! Haha

  • How would you describe your signature look?

Hmm my signature look is always a faff-free neutral eye. Im like a yo yo when it comes to lip colors, sometimes im all for nudes, but then there are times when i love to wear bolder colors, although the coral trend is something im on the fence about, never could embrace that haha.

  • What five fantastic products do you use now, and why do you love them.
  1. Rimmel Match Perfecting concealor. Love this, conceals my horrendus under eye pools of darkness to quite an extent and brightens up the area, doesnt crease and is excellent value for money.
  2. Luscious Loves Fashion Polish in Nickie Nina. Im a big fan of polishes tht are dark. Almost black looking but quite arent, this is exactly that.. A dark ameythyst shade, which is streaky at first and some effort has to be put in, but it is soo worth it! Love love this, i already have a backup bottle, and ive never ever ever bought a back up bottle of nail varnish haha. Thats how much i love it.
  3. Rimmel Stay Matte powder- its a blogger favourite and for good reasons, keeps you matte without looking cakey and is budget friendly aswell. I use the shade transparent.
  4. Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop. Not a color I wouldve ever chosen for myslef, but am i hooked! I wear the buttery concotion of fabulousness everyday! It is as amazing as the bloggers make you beleive it is haha. The only concern i have is that im going to finish it up fast given the rate at which is i use this! Haha , thank you Sarah for this!
  5. Victorias Secret Fragrance Mist in Love Spell. This scent is the epitome of sweet! Love applying this the entire day and the notes of black cherries is what makes this stand out from other sickly sweet summers scents.

For the future, I really want to incorpoate more lifestyle posts in my blog like what i did today etc, im a huge fan of personal posts so would like to take my blog in that direction. Maybe during the summers if im travelling to Lahore, a few collaborative posts with other bloggers from there and islamabad aswell.

Thanks guys!

Like this page to stay up-to-date with the latest posts and pictures. We wanted to all of you to know more about this gorgeous blogger so we had a quick chat with Batul to learn more about her passion and how it all started

Anything and everything that sparkles. She loves All shades of Pink, and RETRO of course!!! A blog by Batul Fazal, who shows symptoms of being a shopaholic, retro enthusiast, and a makeup mania .

  • Introduction please batul ?

Hello PBBC readers. My name is Batul Fazal and I am a student of Mass communication and I consider myself a shopaholic. Originally from Lahore, I spend my time between UAE-Oman. Like a true Lahori, I’m a total foodie. All that sparkles by B my baby and you’ll find totally girly products on my blog.

  • How did you start out in the world of beauty?

It all started when I turned 13. After that awkward puberty phase I was introduced to kajal/kohl and lip balm and that’s where my obsession took off. I started watching youtube videos and eventually was introduced to beauty blogs.

  1. How would you describe your signature look?

My winged liner has been my trusty mate since 2007 when retro was not trendy. People would often criticize and question why my liner was so long and out? With time people have accepted it. Also, I am a huge fan of bright lipsticks. Instead of focusing on my eyes with eyeshades I always opt for a bright lippy; red being my favourite. I think it catches everyone’s eye and suits my lips.

  • What five fantastic products do you use now, and why do you love them.
  1. Benefit Dallas Box-O-Powder : This baby has been my favourite blush from the past 1.5 years. It gives you the loveliest flush and it doubles as a bronzer. 10 points to Benefit!
  2. MAC Satin Taupe eyeshade: If I were to wear one eyeshade all my life this baby would be my pick!
  3. TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer: Best highlighter out there. Also could be used as an eyeshade or body shimmer. A wondrous multi-tasking beauty that won’t disappoint you. The packaging is to die for. I use this on the inner corner of my eyes and on the eyelid with Satin Taupe on the crease and outer-V. Gives the perfect eyelook :)
  4. Dolce & Gabbana Animalier bronzer: The packaging takes away the cake. No doubt this is the most beautifully packaged bronzer out there. The product itself isn’t bad. Has a bit shimmer that does not really show up on skin. Long lasting.
  5. Tony Moly Cat Wu Lipstick in Coral: I was surprised by this product. The amount I paid is next to nothing compared to what I got. The prettiest colour with such a glossy finish topped with an amazing smell. Oh and have I mentioned the packaging? A must buy for all beauty lovers. Korean brands do know their branding.

Extra product MAC Russian Red: This red was made for me. Period. Makes me feel like a pin-up girl *embarrassed*

What’s in the future for ???

I’ve planned to add fashion and food to the blog but it’s the long term plan. I need to be very dedicated and it requires a lot of time. Currently, I am busy with studies but hoping to find time to make my blog a lifestyle blog . And if things go well I want to design a small line of blouses/tops.
